Job Opportunity: Postdoctoral Researcher in the MEPOST Project (NCN-RCL DAINA 3)!

The Faculty of Sociology at the University of Warsaw invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in the MEPOST project, funded by the NCN-RCL DAINA3 program. We are looking for a scholar experienced in qualitative research with a demonstrated interest in cultural memory studies, museums, and/or industrial heritage.

The successful candidate will join an international team exploring emotions and memory of post-socialist transformations and deindustrialization processes. Their responsibilities will include analyzing museum representations of industrial heritage in Poland and Lithuania, conducting interviews with museum professionals, contributing to literature reviews, and preparing project reports. They will also present research findings at international academic conferences and co-author peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals.

The candidate will be based in Warsaw and collaborate closely with the project PI, Prof. Joanna Wawrzyniak, and engage with the activities of the Center for Research on Social Memory at the Faculty of Sociology of the University of Warsaw. They will also have the opportunity to connect with a department of their choice within the faculty. Applicants must be fluent in English and either Polish or Lithuanian.
